Anchoring AnkronsTM
I’ve been field-testing proto-types for my new “Anchoring Ankrons” shoulder/neck weights and lap pads for several months. Changing the sizes and materials to customize them for specific age groups, desired outcomes, and activities. They are for people of all ages and can be placed around the shoulders and neck and or the lap. Field testing results on folks of all ages have found that they seem to: relax, ground, and keep folks in their seat and productive a little longer.
“Anchoring Ankrons”, can be worn as stated around the neck/shoulders and on the lap. They are meant to be used intermittently during the day and evening. According to Amanda Betzen our O.T. these weighted type objects should never total more than 25% of a persons total body weight. The bottom line is the teachers and the kids that I’ve been testing them out on seem to love them. My principal, Ned Levine, jokingly said he’d like 600 of them because they seem to calm all of us down-teachers and kids.
